AI Engineer

As AI Engineer you will make that intelligence faster, sharper and more useful—so our customers work more efficiently, see more, keep tenants happier and stay compliant. This role matters because the next competitive edge in vastgoed is not more screens; it is models that actually run in production.

Performance Objectives

• Ship at least two production AI features (forecasting, anomaly detection or document intelligence) into the Bloxs ERP within 12 months that consultants can demo to customers.
• Reduce time-to-insight for key portfolio KPIs by 30% through automated pipelines that consultants and customers trust.
• Build and maintain Open API–friendly model endpoints that product and support teams can extend without a data-science bottleneck.
• Cut recurring data-quality issues reported by implementation teams by 40% via monitoring, feedback loops and retraining cadences.
• Document reusable patterns so the next engineer (or consultant) can adopt them in weeks, not months.
• Partner with product to turn three high-value customer pain points into measurable AI experiments each quarter.

Environment & Resources

You report to the CTO in a 11–50 person Utrecht scale-up. You sit with developers, ERP consultants and support; you have cloud budget, Open API access, production data (properly governed) and a generous training budget. Native cloud architecture, integrated modules and a culture that actually ships.

Essential Qualifications

• Proven track record of taking ML models from notebook to production API in a SaaS or ERP context.
• Strong Python plus experience with modern ML stacks (PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or equivalent) and cloud data pipelines.
• Ability to translate messy real-estate or financial data into features that consultants and customers understand.
• Comfort working with product and implementation teams; you explain trade-offs without jargon.
• HBO/WO thinking level and a bias for measurable outcomes over research papers.
