Engineering Manager

    Engineering Manager

Every parcel a merchant promises has to arrive as expected—across borders, through peaks, and into the last mile. This role leads the engineers who turn that promise into software merchants and recipients can trust. You will be measured by reliability, delivery accuracy, and how calmly the platform absorbs volume, not by how many initiatives you start.

    Performance Objectives

    • Own a product area and raise on-time performance and tracking accuracy for domestic and cross-border shipments.
    • Ship quarterly improvements that shorten the path from merchant handoff to a confirmed delivery or locker drop.
    • Cut the customer and operational impact of incidents during peak volume, with clear before-and-after measures.
    • Set priorities with product and operations that reduce failed delivery attempts and cost-to-serve.
    • Keep critical services observable, secure, and ready for traffic spikes without relying on heroics.
    • Coach engineers so the team hires well, delivers predictably, and raises its own bar.
    • Use platform choices—routing, capacity, or locker utilization—to support measurable sustainability gains.

    Environment & Resources

You lead a software team building merchant, tracking, or delivery services and report to a senior engineering leader. You partner daily with product, network operations, and customer teams. The stack is cloud services, APIs, and data pipelines tied to live parcel flow, with production SLOs, on-call, and an established release process—not a greenfield experiment.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Have led engineers shipping customer-facing or operations-critical software.
    • Can show reliability, latency, or delivery-quality gains you personally drove.
    • Have worked on high-volume transactional or logistics-adjacent systems.
    • Translate operational constraints into a ranked technical plan others will follow.
    • Have hired, coached, and managed performance, including through incidents.

    Role Selling Points

    • Your work moves real parcels, not hypothetical users.
    • Cross-border rules, peaks, and last-mile exceptions are the product, not edge cases.
    • Scale and process already exist; your job is to make them faster and more dependable.
    • Sustainability is a design constraint with operational weight, not a side campaign.
    • Engineering quality is visible in merchant trust and recipient experience.

    Call to Action

Apply if you want engineering leadership judged by parcels delivered well—and you can prove you have done it.
