Information Security Officer

    Purpose of the Role

    Our client, a leading global brand, is establishing a new Information Security function at their headquarters to roll out a unified governance framework across its European subsidiaries.

    We are seeking an Information Security Officer to serve as the regional expert on data security, regulatory compliance, and privacy. Supported by global HQ and an external consulting partner, you will translate corporate frameworks into practical, consistent implementation across multiple entities.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Framework & Risk: Maintain and improve the regional information security and risk management frameworks.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Operationalize requirements for NIS2, GDPR, and the AI Act from a security perspective.
    • Incident Response: Lead or support response and mitigation for security incidents and data breaches.
    • Vendor & Audit Management: Evaluate vendor security postures, coordinate internal/external audits, and handle customer/regulatory security inquiries.
    • Security Culture: Deliver information security awareness training across European subsidiaries.

    Experience & Industry Fit

    • Experience: 3+ years in information security/data protection within a multinational environment.
    • Target Industries: FMCG, manufacturing, production, logistics, or consumer electronics. (Profiles exclusively from Banking or Insurance are not a match for these operational needs).
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Frameworks: Strong knowledge of ISO27001 and NIS2; familiarity with GDPR, AI Act, NIST, and CIS.
    • Core Skills: Strong policy-drafting, documentation, and advisory capabilities.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent English communication and high intercultural awareness.
    • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a distinct advantage.

    Benefits (some)

    • Up to 95000 EUR OTE per year (OTE consists of holiday allowance and and a performance bonus roughly equivalent to a month's salary. Salary and holiday allowance is roughly 88000 EUR per year)
    • Full-time is 37.5 hours per week
