Java Software Engineer

As Java Software Engineer you will own the backend that real-estate professionals actually run their businesses on—shipping adaptive modules and Open APIs that keep our customers competitive in a fast-changing market. Your code lands in production for small, mid-size and large asset owners every sprint; the impact is immediate and visible.

What you will accomplish

• Design, build and release Java services that power core ERP modules (accounting, reporting, BI) so customers can close books and generate insights without workarounds.
• Extend our Open API surface so partners and customers integrate third-party systems in days, not months, while keeping the platform secure and versioned.
• Raise reliability and performance of the native-cloud architecture so the product stays fast and compliant as data volumes and tenant counts grow.
• Translate consultant and customer feedback into shipped features that measurably reduce process friction for property managers.
• Own production quality: automated tests, observability and zero-regression releases that keep support tickets down and customer trust high.
• Document patterns and best practices so the growing engineering team can move faster without reinventing solutions.

Environment & resources

You join a compact 11–50 person scale-up in Utrecht, working closely with product, consultants and support. You report to the engineering lead, use a modern Java stack on cloud infrastructure, and have a training budget plus the autonomy to choose how you stay current. Daily lunch with the team and a city-view office come standard.

Essential qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production Java backends for complex, data-heavy business applications.
• Ability to design clean APIs and domain models that stay maintainable as modules expand.
• Comfort working in a native-cloud environment with automated testing and continuous delivery.
• Clear communication that turns functional real-estate or finance requirements into working software.
• Drive to own outcomes end-to-end in a small, high-trust team.
