Platform Engineer

    Platform Engineer

Real estate teams run portfolios, tenants, and compliance on software that cannot blink. You will make that cloud ERP fast to change and hard to break—so product, support, and customers spend their time on insight, not outages. This is the role that turns a growing product into a platform others can trust.

    Performance Objectives

    • Keep production available and recoverable: define SLOs, cut repeat incidents, and prove restore times for critical data.
    • Ship a paved path so engineers release safely several times a week, with automated tests, reviews, and rollback.
    • Stand up observability that shows customer impact in minutes—logs, metrics, and traces tied to real estate workflows.
    • Harden identity, secrets, environments, and audit trails so compliance questions have evidence, not folklore.
    • Run infrastructure as code: environments are reproducible, costs are visible, and capacity keeps pace with new customers.
    • Make integrations and the Open API operable—versioned, monitored, and safe for partners without one-off ops.
    • Remove toil: self-service for deploys, access, and environments, measured by fewer manual tickets to the platform.

    Environment & Resources

You join a small product engineering group in an early-stage software team. You work daily with developers, support, and implementation consultants who hear customer pain first. You report to the engineering lead, own the cloud platform budget with them, and choose tools that fit a native-cloud ERP—not a tool museum. Decisions stay close to the people who ship.

    Essential Qualifications

    • You have run production cloud systems: deployments, incidents, backups, and access control—not only diagrams.
    • You have built CI/CD and infrastructure as code that other engineers actually use.
    • You can explain a failure in plain language to support and to customers’ application owners.
    • You have improved reliability with metrics: fewer incidents, faster recovery, or lower manual ops load.
    • You are comfortable in a small team where you design, implement, and document the standard yourself.
    • Dutch or English professional working level; you write runbooks others can follow at 8:00.

    Role Selling Points

    • Pay set to sit above the market, plus a bonus tied to real contribution.
    • Pension and gap insurance with the full premium paid, a generous learning budget, and a path you help shape.
    • 25 vacation days you can flex, travel compensation that rises with commute time, and a bike plan.
    • A staffed lunch with the team, drinks and outings, and room to turn your own ideas into platform work.
    • Direct line from your changes to how property managers and investors run their day.
