Network Engineer – Data Center & Backbone Infrastructure Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid) Salary: Up to €125K base, depending on seniority

Client

Our client manages a complex network spanning large-scale data center fabricsand a geographically distributed backbone. Their data centers are built onmodern architectures using NVIDIA and Arista switching hardware, with heavyinvestment in InfiniBand for HPC.
The backbone interconnects data centers andPoPs, primarily using Juniper routers, recently supplemented with Cisco gear.

This multi-vendor, high-availability environment requires strong skills in BGP,MPLS, advanced routing protocols, and network segmentation. While vendorcertifications are not mandatory, deep networking knowledge and problem-solving ability are essential.

Team & Responsibilities

You’ll join the 7-member DC Network team within a 25-person NetworkInfrastructure department.
The tea
m is transitioning to an international structure,using English for technical communication.
Tasks include a mix of operational
support (maintenance, troubleshooting) and project work (new site deployments,network redesign, decentralization efforts). You’ll work with both legacy andmodern systems as part of a follow-the-sun support model

Required Expertise (must have at least two of the following)
  • Data Center Networking: Experience with large-scale fabrics,Arista/NVIDIA hardware, routing protocols, and virtualization
  • Backbone/External Routing: Proficiency in BGP, MPLS, large-scaledesign, and Juniper/Cisco platforms
  • Automation/Linux: Comfortable with Linux, Python, and networkautomation tools

    We're seeking driven engineers with strong fundamentals, adaptability, and acollaborative mindset. Experience in high-availability environments and withmonitoring/troubleshooting tools is a plus.
