Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer – Data Center & Backbone Infrastructure

Location: remote from anywhere in the U.S.A.

Salary: up to $350k total compensation.

Our client manages a complex network spanning large-scale data center fabrics and a

geographically distributed backbone. Their data centers are built on modern

architectures using NVIDIA and Arista switching hardware, with heavy investment in

InfiniBand for HPC. The backbone interconnects data centers and PoPs, primarily using

Juniper routers, recently supplemented with Cisco gear.

This multi-vendor, high-availability environment requires strong skills in BGP, MPLS,

advanced routing protocols, and network segmentation. While vendor certifications are

not mandatory, deep networking knowledge and problem-solving ability are essential.

    Team & Responsibilities:

You’ll join the 7-member DC Network team within a 25-person Network Infrastructure

department. The team is transitioning to an international structure, using English for

technical communication. Tasks include a mix of operational support (maintenance,

troubleshooting) and project work (new site deployments, network redesign,

decentralization efforts). You’ll work with both legacy and modern systems as part of a

    follow-the-sun support model.

    Required Skills:

    • Data Center Networking: Extensive experience designing and deploying large-

scale, high-performance data center networks. Hands-on with Arista/NVIDIA

(Mellanox) gear, VXLAN EVPN, and BGP/OSPF in multi-terabit, high-density

    environments.

    • Backbone & External Routing: Proven experience designing and operating

large-scale IP/MPLS backbones. Deep knowledge of BGP, MPLS, traffic

engineering, and high-availability architectures on Juniper and Cisco platforms.

    • Automation/Linux: Comfortable with Linux, Python, and network automation

    tools.

We're seeking driven engineers with strong fundamentals, adaptability, and a

collaborative mindset. Experience in high-availability environments and with

    monitoring/troubleshooting tools is a plus.

Apply if you're passionate about networking and ready for a dynamic, impactful

    role.
