Full Stack Engineer – Node.js /Nest.js | React.js/Next.js - TypeScript | [SaaS / EdTech] | Utrecht [€80K]

Are you ready to form the backbone of an AI-native SaaS platform used by hundreds of thousands of people? And do you want to sink your teeth into scaling backend systems with Nest.js/Node.js, while contributing to the next generation of interactive content with React.js/Next.js and AI?

My client is a Dutch startup building interactive, science-backed content experiences for enterprise clients. Their platform lets corporates and universities create social-media-style storytelling formats. The team is small and the product is live at serious scale. The engineering team is a hands-on CTO, a full stack developer, and a product manager. You would be the fourth technical hire. You work closely with Customer Success and product, and the feedback loops are short.

What you’ll do

You work across the full stack with your main focus on the backend and data layer. That means building APIs and services in Nest.js, developing integrations with external

platforms including analytics tools, CRMs, and LMS systems, and shipping statistical features that give clients insight into their content performance. You also contribute to

React.js/Next.js on the frontend, join client conversations when technical depth is needed, and use AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot as part of your daily

workflow.

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer

• Strong knowledge of Node.js (Nest.js is a plus) and React/Next/TypeScript

• Experience building APIs and working with databases and caching solutions

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

• Affinity with data: integrations, analytics, or statistical processing are familiar territory

• AI-native developer: you use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot daily

• Fluent in English. Dutch is a plus
